When it comes to planning a wedding, every little detail counts, and many brides-to-be feel that they have to adhere to tradition at least in some ways. There are customs and trends that dictate almost every part of a wedding, but you don’t have to be tied down by them. Here are three things you probably assume about having a fall wedding — and why you’re wrong.
You can’t choose from outdoor wedding places
One thing that people usually assume about having a wedding in the fall is that it limits them from having the wedding outside, but this just isn’t true. You don’t have to have your wedding in one of the biggest or best ballrooms. There are a number of different things that you can do to make sure that you have a wedding outside that is still comfortable for your guests. Most outdoor wedding places will be able to accommodate outdoor heaters, and you can always provide wraps if you plan on having a long ceremony.
You have to use fall hues
One of the benefits of having a fall wedding is the richness of the colors of the season. If you aren’t keen on using only fall colors, don’t fret. It’s your wedding, use whatever colors you want. Just make sure you balance them with a few deeper and more natural tones.
You can’t use your favorite flowers
Another thing that people generally assume about fall weddings is that there is a limited number of flowers that they will be able to use, but this isn’t true either. It might be a little more expensive, but if you have your heart set on a certain type of flowing that isn’t blooming in the fall you could look for florists who might grow them in a greenhouse for you. Besides, there are tons of cool things you can do with fall-inspired non floral elements.
So don’t feel like you can’t choose your venue from outdoor places for wedding receptions, you’re limited to a certain color palette, or you’re stuck without your favorite flowers for your fall wedding. Some of the best places to have a wedding reception are outside, the best color combinations the unlikely ones, and unique fall elements might be a better option for your bouquet.
